Lady Cardinals finish 1st in Gans Creek Classic Gold Division in back-to-back years

COLUMBIA, Mo. -- The Girls & Boys Cross Country teams had a fantastic day at the Gans Creek Classic in Columbia. The Lady Cardinals earned their 2nd straight 1st place finish at the Gans Creek Classic. Last year, Brooke Hedger broke her school record for the second time. This year, she beat last year's time by .10 seconds. Hedger finished 3rd at Saturday's meet with an 18:24.20 mark. Joplin's Ava Doll finished in 2nd, with Notre Dame (Cape Girardeau) High School's Martina Ressel taking first.

11th - Araceli Perez: 19:05.40

21st - Emma McKinzie: 19:44.60

34th - Brooke Collard: 20:19.10

36th - Tatym Buster: 20:20.00

57th - Olivia Klotz: 21:07.10

75th - Kristina Bundy: 21:29.40

90th - Alexis Shuster: 21:56.20

151 runners competed in the meet. Out of 21 schools, Webb City narrowly took home first place. The team scored 91 with a 1:55 1-5 split and 19:34 average. Lafayette (Wildwood) High School finished 2nd with 97 points.
