Lady Cardinal volleyball sweeps Lebanon

After winning the first set 25-19, the Lady Cardinals found themselves staring at a 24-19 deficit near the end of set number 2.  But a defensive stand and four straight service points from Avery Gardner set the game even at 24-24.  Lebanon took the next point and served for the win.   Once again the defensive stand from Cardinals drew them even again at 25.  Mia Lenker serving, the Yellow Jackets drove an attemped spike wide left and then she delivered an ace to give the Cardinals a 27-25 win and a 2-0 lead.  Winning the third set 25-19, Webb City earned a 3-0 sweep and now have a 3 match winning streak and a season record of 3-2.

Jaeli Rutledge recorded 15 kills to lead the attack with Lenker adding nine.  Jaylee Van Becelaere and Kirra Long were credited with six each.  Lenker finished with 3 aces on the night.  Garnder led the defensive effort with 21 digs, Van Becelaere following close behind with 19.
