JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- There's a new state champion and some new record holders for the Webb City Lady Cardinals Track & Field Team. Chase Stilley Saturday won the Class 5 state title in the high jump, with a registered height of 5'7.7". This was also a new school record.
Brooke Hedger also broke 2 school records at the state meet. In the 1600, she recorded a 4:59.42 and a 4th place finish. In the 800, she finished 3rd with a 2:14.13 mark.
Olivia Klotz, Araceli Perez, Emma McKinzie, and Brooke Hedger led The Girls 4x800 team to a new school record, finishing with a mark of 9:33.21. The team finished 8th with all-state honors.
The girls 4x400 finished in 15th place.
"Our girls team was led by Chase Stilley and Brooke Hedger all year," said head coach Dustin Miller. "This group is young and deep in several events. I'm excited to see where we can be next year, after a year of hard work."
