With about five events remaining in the 2019 Carthage Track and Field Invitational on Thursday night, it became clear who was taking the meet by storm.

Scattered lighting storms in the Carthage area delayed and eventually forced an early end to the meet at David Haffner Stadium.
A makeup date will not be set to finish out the meet, according to Carthage coach Andy Youngworth, but the events completed and team points accumulated prior to the meet's cancellation will be officially recognized by MSHSAA, allowing all individual times and marks registered to be counted toward district qualification standards.
The Webb City girls finished runner-up in team standings with 89 points.
Octavie Duncan and Allary Liberatore each earned golf medals on the day. Duncan won the shot put with a throw of 42' 4" and Liberatore won the long jump with a 17' 5" leap.
Liberatore also earned second place finishes in the both the 400 and high jump, while Duncan captured runner up in the discus.
The team of Alexia Jimenez, Abby Pendergraft, Elliett Capron and Riley Hawkins finished second in the 4X800 relay. Third place relay team finishes were record in the 4X100 and 4X200. Members of the 4X100 were Alyssa Gatlin, Rachel Davison, Keyarah Wright and Morgan Brannon. Gatlin and Davison were joined by Jaydee Duda and Raven Vaughn for the 4X200.
