The Lady Cardinals defeated Belton 6-0 during the opening round of the Class 2 District 12 team tennis tournament on Monday. 

 Annie Goodwin, Jessica Hobdy and Ellie Harlen each won singles matches for the Cardinals. Bailey Malcolm and Jaycie Crockett, Goodwin and Hobdy and Anna Holyfield and Harlen captured doubles victories.

Webb City (6-6) will face Raymore-Peculiar (7-6) today in the district semifinals.
