CARTHAGE, Mo. -- Lady Cardinals Soccer shut out the Carthage Lady Tigers 3-0 on Thursday. The win comes after Tuesday's double overtime heartbreaker against Republic. Webb City's overall record improved to 6-3.
Webb City kept up the offensive pressure all game. Within the first 10 minutes of regulation, Avery Allen got a chance at the net, but was unable to connect.
Dakota DeGraffenreid assisted Avery Pogue near the 17th minute to break the stalemate. Pogue finished with 4 total shots on goal.
DeGraffenreid finished with 6 total shots on goal, registering her sole score on her final shot in the 64th minute.
Alex Maturino cleaned things up 6 minutes later with the team's 3rd goal. She finished with 2 shots on goal.
Webb City tallied 15 shots on goals to Carthage's one.
The Lady Cardinals also finished with one keeper save to Carthage's 12.
Webb City returns to action Friday, April 24th for their Southwest Shootout. They play Joplin at 9:00 AM, then follow with Jefferson City at 12:00 PM.
