After dropping the first two games of pool play, Webb City captured third place with a 6-0 victory on Saturday afternoon in the Webb City Invitational.

Freshman Lauren Bryan and Lily Spikereit each scored twice for the Lady Cardinals in the final game against the New Covenant Academy Warriors from Springfield.  The Cardinals, playing their second game of the day, opened the scoring when Lauren Bryan scored in the 30th minute to take a 1-0 lead into half time.

The Lady Cardinals scored quickly in the second half as Kristi Fitch found the back of the net in the 42nd minute.   Bryan scored her second goal six minute laters.  Spikereit scored at minute 67, followed quickly by a goal from Kelsey Lewis. Spikereit finished the scoring at minute 73.

Webb City dropped pool games to Har-Ber and Heritage to open the tournament.

The Cardinals will host Ozark in their conference opener on Tuesday.
