SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Lady Cardinals Golf officially kicked off their season following their jamboree onTuesday. The girls traveled to the Payne and Bill Steward Golf Course in Springfield for the MSU Relays. With 16 schools competing, the Cardinals finished in 6th place. A couple of Lady Cardinals also left with a couple of new PRs.

Here's a look at the scorecard for Webb City:

Violet Haut - 91

Irelynn Miles - 91 (PR)

Brooklyn Cartwright - 96

Clare Zahm - 106 (PR)

Cassie Collins - 106 (PR)

"This was a big day for us. We finished within 35 strokes of 2nd place in a tournament with some Class 3 and 4 state contenders," said Coach Jason Brown. "The team is off to a good start for what I hope will be a bright future for WC Girls Golf".

The team travels to Neosho on Tuesday.
