The Lady Cardinals ended their short two game skid and evened their COC record with a 68-46 win at Carthage.   It was their fifth consecutive win over the Tigers.  

Cardinal Leaders

Abby Sargent - Led the team with 17 points on 7-14 shooting, connecting on 2 of 5 from behind the arc.  Earned her fourth double-double grabbing a team high 11 rebounds.  Dished out three assists and collected four steals.

Brecklynn Sargent - Finished with 10 points, four steals and two assists.

Whitlee Keith - Rounded out the trio in double digits with 10 points on 4-8 shooting including hitting two from long range while grabbling six rebounds.

Kenzie Horn - Registered nine points shooting 3-6 with two from beyond the arc.  

Game Recap

After spotting the Tigers the first five points, the Cardinals went on 10-0 run on a opening three from Abby Sargent, back to back buckets from Whitlee Keith and Brecklynn Sargent and a corner three from Kenzie Horn to move ahead ultimately building a 17-12 first quarter lead.  

Carthage scored the first five points of the quarter again and tied the contest but another scoring run, this time 13-0, put the Cardinals ahead for good, as they built the lead back to 30-19 at half. 

Another extended scoring run of 17 points early in the third and Cardinals coasted into the victory giving them a 14-6 record.

Team Stats

Another big night near the rim as Webb City outscored the Tigers 44-8 in the paint.   Forcing the Tigers into 21 turnovers, they turned those into 29 points.  They outrebounded the Tigers 37-23.
