Coaches always worry about effort and playing to your competition and not your ability when facing a team that on paper you should beat handily. The Lady Cardinals put that worry to rest quickly as they exploded out to a 12-0 lead in the first three minutes before Parkview could even get a shot attempt. The next two minutes saw the teams trade scores until Webb City used a 21-3 run over the final 10 minutes of the half to take a 40-9 lead at the break.
The lead grew to as many as 49 points in the second half as the Cardinals put up 24 more points in the third. Emptying the bench and with a running clock during the fourth quarter, Parvkview was able to outscore the Cardinals eight to four but the Cardinals used their entire bench with 10 different players recording points on the night.
Four different players reached double figures. Addie Burns led the scoring with 14. Abby Sargent recorded 11 but also had team best seven assists and six steals. Whitlee Keith was the other starter to score double digits with 10. Chasney Brown recorded season bests in both points (10) and her team leading seven rebounds off the bench.
Webb City (16-7, 3-1) entertain Ozark next in a COC interdivision contest.
