Fifth-seeded Webb City, behind Desirea Buerge's 38 points, upset top-seeded Oklahoma City Classen 72-51 in a semifinal game of the Frontenac tournament on Friday.
The Cardinals will meet second-seeded Springfield Kickapoo for the championship at 5:30 p.m. today.
Buerge, a 6-foot senior forward, led all scorers, while Lexey Kneib added 12 points and was the only other Webb City player in double figures.
Webb City opened the tournament upsetting fourth seeded Prarie View. After being tied at 11 at the end of the first quarter, the Cardinals offense used an 18-5 second quarter to take a 29-16 lead into half and never looked back in the 63-28 victory.
"This was probably one of our best team efforts offensively and defensively we have had all year," said Webb City coach Lance Robbins.
Buerge scored 28 points to lead Webb City.
