Webb City (15-4, 1-1 COC Large) had a ninegame winning streak snapped, losing to Republic 67-62 in overtime on Thursday night
Said Webb City coach Brad Shorter: "We didn't do a good job of blocking out. They had 17 second chance points, if not more. We didn't shoot the ball, either.
"Republic had a lot to do with it all. It was a learning experience.
Hopefully, we'll meet again down the road."
Mikaela Burgess scored 31 points and Desirea Buerge added 20 for Webb City.
The Cardinals travel to Willard on Monday before returning home next Friday to face Branson and celebrate homecoming.
