Webb City girls hurdled Memphis, Tennessee Overton 62-59 on Sunday in the Martin Luther King Jr. Girls Basketball Showcase at North County Tech. Webb City improved to 14-2 with the win against the Wolverines (ranked #45 nationally by ESPN Rise). The Cardinals received 21 points from Kaitlin Jaeger, 20 from Kyndal Clark (who sank six 3s) and 16 from Hailey Roderique.

"We played well," Webb City Coach Brad Shorter said. "We did some nice things. We came out strong. We played good defense...provided help when needed."

Webb City was ahead 26-25 at the half.

We had too many turnovers with 17", said Coach Shorter. "But you have to credit their quickness and athleticism. They were a long, long team. Their post players were 6 foot 3 and 6-1.
