The Lady Cardinals softball team turned back Neosho and advanced to the district finals.  

Callie Beaver led off the game with a walk and Kailin Beason drove her home with a triple off the top of the right field fence.  Alexah Replogle then dropped down a squeeze bunt to score Beason and the Cardinals found themselves with a 2-0 lead after the first inning.  

Laney Kneib, after allowing two runners in the first, retired the next 11 Neosho hitters before a 5th inning walk. She finished with eight strikeouts and only two hits in the complete game shutout.

Chelsea Smith put up the final Cardinal run in the fourth belting a home run to center field to lead off the inning.  Lexie Gardner and Kneib both finished the day with two hits to lead the seven hit attack.

They advance to the district finals to face the winner of the Joplin / McDonald  County game at 5:00 on Friday
