The Webb City Cardinals boys' tennis team traveled to Springfield, MO, to take on Parkview High School, coming home 8-1 winners. The Cards are now 3-4 on the season.
Varsity results:
1Doubles: seniors Justice Bonnow (1)/Ryder Stuart (3) beat junior Dax Barnhouse (1)/freshman Alexander Barber (3) 9-7.
2Doubles: seniors Jayden Bowker (2)/Oliver Bollin (5) beat junior Landon Frans (2)/senior Jack Moorhead (4) 8-2.
3Doubles: senior Anthony Stump (6)/junior Isaac Shipley (7) beat senior Caden Dishman (5)/freshman Kohle Eslick (7) 8-3.
1Singles: Bonnow beat Barnhouse 8-2.
2Singles: JBowker beat Frans 8-5.
3Singles: Stuart lost in a tie breaker to Barber 9-8 (7-1).
4Singles: Bollin beat Moorhead 8-1.
5Singles: Stump beat Dishman 8-3.
6Singles: Shipley beat Eslick 8-1.
JV results:
Sophomore Yadi Martinez/junior David Moreland went 2-0.
Sophomore Kaden Thiele/freshman JT Clayton went 1-0.
Sophomores Kaden Thiele/Duncan McClintick went 0-1.
Sophomore Duncan McClintick/freshman JT Clayton went 1-1.
Freshmen Luckster Pulsipher/Isaac Bowker went 1-1.
Freshmen Kaden Horn/Logan Haslett-Carbonell went 1-1.
"The guys played like we know they can tonight, and now we have three days' practice to continue working on things that need the work," assistant coach Dean Derryberry said. "Parkview was a good test for us, and we're proud of our guys for taking care of business."
