After a tight first quarter, Webb City outscored the Mustangs 18-3 in the second quarter and went on to claim their third victory in four outings.

The Cardinals led 34-18 at halftime "Our boys did well defensively, and that showed up in the second quarter," said Webb City assistant coach Nick Popejoy.

The Cardinals had three players scoring in double figures. Alex Gaskill had 17 points, Terrell Kabala 16 and Tanner Rogers 12.

Webb City plays Pittsburg at 7 p.m. Saturday in the eight-team Four State Challenge hosted by the Cardinals.
