Kyle Nichols drilled five 3-pointers and a game-high 21 points to lead Webb City past Clarksville (Ark.) 81-63 in the opening round of the Arvest Hoopfest.

The Cardinals had four others score in double figures — Grant Ellis (18), Alex Gaskill (13), Alex Pickett (12) and Tevaris Young (11). 

Webb City started quickly, leading 23-11 after one quarter and building a 43-19 lead at half-time.

The Cardinals (2-0) will face Rogers Heritage on Friday night at 7:00 in the tournament semi-finals
