Webb City takes down Wildcats 41-0

Webb City ran their record to 3-0 on wet night at Cardinal stadium.

After a 30 minute rain delay, Webb City scored on each of their four drives in the first half in running out to a 27-0 lead at intermission.

The Webb City defense forced the Wildcats to punt on the opening drive of the game.  A bad punt had the Cardinals starting on the Neosho 34 yeard line.  Durand Henderson finished this first Cardinal drive with a 5 yard touchdown run.

After another bad punt attempt, the Cardinals started their next drive on the Neosho 39 yard line.  This time it was Devrin Weathers finishing with a five yard scoring run.

The Cardinals started the next on their side of the field, beginning at their own 35 yard line.  This ten play drive, stretching into the second quarter, was capped by a Terrell Kabala six yard touchdown run on an end-around touchdown on fourth down.  The drive was highlighted by a 37 yard pass from Kade Hicks to tight end Jacob Monroe, taking the ball down to the Wildcat 10 yard line.

The Cardinal offense only needed one play on their next drive to score as Cole Gayman found Alex Gaskill on 30 yard touchdown strike.

The defense limited the Wildcats to only 62 yards of offense in the first half and 100 yards on on the game.

Webb City scored on its first two drives in the second half.  Henderson scored again on an eight yard run and Kade Hicks from 6 yards.

Weathers led the Cardinals with 70 yards on only six carriers.  Henderson finished with 67 yards on 12 attempts.

Monroe, Gaskill and Cale McCallister each caught a pass on the evening.

Gaskill and Ruben Lenker each tallied five tackels, with Lenker and Dylan Walker each registering two tackles for losses.

The Cardinals (3-0) will travel to Branson next Friday.
