The defense forced a Tiger punt on their next possession with junior linebacker Steven Moore stopping two of the plays for losses. A partially blocked punt and the offense started on the Tiger side of the field again. Quarterback Devin Pickett, running option to the right, kept the ball and darted up field for a 35 yard touchdown run and after a Nathan Gooch extra point, the Cardinals led 15-0.
Kiante Hardin added another interception to his season total and returned it 70 yards on the next Tiger possession and Webb City ended the first quarter leading 22-0.
