The Cardinals opened the 2010 season with a 31-7 win at Ozark.
The Cardinals scored on their first possession of the season going 57 yards in four plays with senior QB Scott Roderique scoring from 17 yards less than 2 minutes into the game. Webb City turned the ball over on their next offensive play and the Tigers once again held on to the ball in a 13 play drive before the Cardinals were able to stop the drive with a little over minute till half-time. The Cardinals wasted no time in scoring with a two play drive as Maddy Johnson scampered 31 yards to give the Cardinals a 14-7 lead with 1:00 minute left in the half.
The Cardinals held the Tigers and with utilizing their timeouts forced a Tiger punt from deep in their end that was fair caught. The Cardinals then lined up with something rarely attempted by electing to free-kick with Chase Capron teeing up the ball from the 42 yard line. The kick sailed a little wide to the right and the Cardinals settled for a 14-7 half-time lead.
Wyatt Johnson recovered a fumble on the Tigers first offensive drive of the second half and the Cardinals wasted little time in scoring as Maddy Johnson once again found the end-zone from 13 yards out. Easley finished the scoring with a 24 yard field goal early in the fourth quarter. Webb City finished the game with 191 yards rushing and 69 yards passing. Although the defense seemed to be on the field for a very long time, they only allowed the Tigers 168 yards of total offense.
