Cardinals finish week with an 8-1 win at Aurora

The Cardinals pushed their record to 21-4 with an 8-1 win at Aurora on Saturday afternoon.

Webb City got on the board in the second.  Mason Young led off with an infield single, stole second and moved on to third on a ground out.  Barek Hoffman delivered the two out single to score Young.

Then the Cardinals got three runs in both the third and fourth innings.  Trevor Lofland drove in Mason Williams for the first run and Mason Young doubled home Lake Johnson and Lofland.  The next inning, Mason Williams delivered a sac fly to send Barek Hoffman home and Trevor Lofland drove in two more, Karsen Myers and Lofland, with a double to center.

Four Cardinals, Williams, Lofland, Young and Hoffman all recorded two hits on the afternoon.  Hoffman and Johnson each reached base three times, Lofland drove in three with Young and Hoffman driving in two.  Webb City pounded out 11 total hits, four of them for extra bases.  

Colton Rickman earned the win, limiting the Aurora to only one hit, striking out two, needing only 45 pitches in his four innings.  Rylan Bell and Brock Husltine combined to work the final three innings.  

Webb City will be at Ozark on Tuesday.
