The Cardinals scored three runs early and three runs late with a single run in the middle to win 7-4 at Lebanon.
Webb City scored three times in the second to grab a 3-0 lead. Trevor Lofland, Mason Young and Braden Strickland each singled to open the inning, with Lofland scoring. Mason Young scored on a fielding error. Braden Strickland scored on a wild pitch.
The Cardinals loaded the bases in the fourth when Abel Getz and Barret Weller were each hit by a pitch. Dawson McMullen laid down a sac bunt and reached on fielding error to fill the bases. Getz scored when Karsen Myers was also hit by a pitch and Webb City led 4-0.
After the Yellow Jackets closed the gap to 4-3, Webb City got some insurance runs in the seventh. Back to back walks to Mason Williams and Lake Johnson began the inning. One batter later, Mason Young was plunked to load the bases. Braden Strickland then delivered a single to center on a full count to plate two. Young scored the final run on a Yellow Jacket passed ball.
Lebanon made it interesting the bottom of the seventh when they loaded the bases with nobody out. Braden Strickland was called upon and induced a 1-2-3 double play for the first two outs. A pop up that Barret Weller, now playing short, went back into short left center and corralled for the final out brought the game to a close.
Tate Lewis got the win, throwing four innings of three hit baseball. He only allowed one run, striking out eight. Chayse Denton worked the next two innings. Braden Strickland earned the save.
Strickland was led the offense, finishing 2-4 with three runs batted in. Mason Young scored twice.
The Cardinals will be back at home on Thursday.
