Young's grand slam and seven RBI lead Cardinals to 17-0 win

Andrew Young drove in seven runs with two swings of the bat as the Cardinals closed the regular season with 17-0 win at Nevada.

Grounding out to second to lead off the game, Young came to plate with bases loaded and two outs in the top of the second.  He deposited the second pitch of the at bat over the right field fence for grand slam and a 4-0 lead for the Cardinals.  An inning later, he came to plate once again with the bags loaded and tripled to center, driving in three more.  

Webb City scored their 17 runs on only 8 hits, taking advantage of seven walks, four hit batters and three Tiger errors.  

Hunter Shull was the only other Cardinal with two hits.  Shull, Shadrach Salazar and Drew Vonder Haar each doubled.   Every Cardinal drove in at least one run in the game.  Mason Williams was the beneficiary of four walks.  

Landon Fletcher earned the win, allowing on two hits in his three innings of work.

The Cardinals begin district play on Wednesday with a 1:45 contest against Raytown to be played at Belton High School.
