Webb City blanked Seneca 5-0 at home on Thursday afternoon in a non-conference game.
Senior catcher Tyler Davison drove in the first two runs of the game with a a single in the third inning. Bradyn Ansley opened the inning drawing a walk and was followed by a single from Kolesen Crane. Both runners advanced on a sacrifice bunt from Austin Carter setting up the two out base hit.
The Cardinals added three runs in the sixth inning. A walk to Davison and a misplayed ground ball off the bat of Calem Nutting put runners on the corners. A sacrifice fly from Andrew Greek plated the first run. Nutting then stole second and took third base on a ground out before scoring on a wild pitch. Kaleb Potts, hit by a pitch, scored the final run on a triple from Ansley.
Ben Jones earned the complete game victory. He only limited the Indians to three hits, striking out 10 and only issuing one walk.
The Cardinals will travel to Logan-Rogersville tomorrow before their final home game next Tuesday.
