Cardinals defeat Panthers 18-10

After a three week twelve game road trip, the Cardinals returned home and won a high scoring game 18-10 over the Colgan Panthers.

Webb City starter Ben Jones was touched for three runs in the top of the first inning.  The Cardinals were able to tally one of their own in the bottom of the inning.  Tyler Davison singled to right and scored on a single by Calem Nutting.

Nutting delivered again in the third inning, scoring Davison and Austin Carter with double to left center.  

Colgan extended their lead, 7-3, in the top of the fourth.  Webb City answered with an eight run inning, sending twelve batters to the plate.  They collected four hits, three walks and were aided by two errors in the outburst.  Kolesen Crane and Nutting each doubled over the right fielder for the big hits of the inning.  

The Cardinals added five more in the fifth and two in the sixth.  

Webb City collected fifiteen hits on the day as Davison reached base all four times with two singles and two walks, scoring each time.  Nutting ended with three hits and six runs batted in and Crane scored three times.   

Derick Newby picked up the win in relief, pitching the final three innings.

The Cardinals will face Ozark on Thursday at home.
