Cardinals drop Wildcats 11-1

The Lady Cardinals (14-3, 7-0) used a combination of bunts, basehits and homeruns to take down Neosho on Tuesday afternoon 11-1.

Peyton Hawkins led off the game with a triple to left and scored on a squeeze bunt from Keira Jackson to take a quick 1-0 lead.

Reanna Blinzler opened the third inning with her first career homerun on a drive to left-center field (Click for video).  Hawkins and Alyssa Jennings, reaching on basehits, scored on a squeeze bunt from Stacy Tyndall and double from Haidyn Berry to take a 4-0 lead.

Taylor Harris and Emma Welch reached on basehits to start the fourth and Harris scored on towering flyball to left from Blinzler that was misplayed.  One out later Keira Jackson launched a three run homer to center (Click for video), to push the Cardinal lead to 8-1.

Karson Culver scored a single run in the sixth on a Welch basehit and then drove in the final run in the seventh with a basehit to left.

Berry earned the win, scattering three hits and striking out ten.

Six different Cardinals collected two hits apiece to lead the 15 hit attack.  Jackson was credited with four rbi's on the day.

Webb City will hsot Republic on Thursday before heading to Kansas City for weekend games at the Urban Youth Academy fields in the Blue Springs Tournament.
